Our dance school is conveniently situated in Southborough – between Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells – in West Kent.
All ballet, modern, tap and street dance classes are held in the light and spacious great hall, known as ‘The Keys’, at Southborough Primary School.
We offer a full timetable for boys and girls from three years old, as well as ballet classes for adults in Pembury and Langton Green.
Whether dancing as a hobby or an aspiring professional dancer, we will support your child’s development into strong, knowledgeable and intelligent dancer.

The Russian Difference
We are the only dance school in Kent to teach the Russian method of ballet. Famous for its grace, strength, and expressive use of head, upper body and arms, children learn naturally how to be elegant dancers right from the start.
When they’re ready, we enter students for assessment according to the Legat System. We hold these ballet exams in the familiar surroundings of our own studio. They are overseen by an external examiner from the Russian Ballet Society.

Passionate, Dedicated Dance Teachers
All our dance teachers are fully qualified, highly experienced and caring.
Principal, Tamara Moubayed, runs the school along with her husband, John Moubayed. Together they have many years of teaching experience and are dedicated to helping every child achieve their potential as dancers. They started the ballet school with a mission to share their love for ballet. They’re also passionate about the many benefits that learning to dance offers for children of all ages.
Completing the team is Maria Smith, who brings her expert teaching in ISTD Modern, Tap and Street Dance to the school.

From Baby Ballet to Adult Dance Classes
Our doors are open to all levels of ability, from baby ballet to adults.
We are committed to teaching your child to dance in a way that’s suited to their age and ability.
Learning through fun is so important for the younger children. This is why our baby ballet and primary classes focus on the joy of moving to music whilst introducing the first steps of ballet.
As they progress, we can support and coach talented students for vocational ballet school auditions.
We also offer fun ballet classes for adults, as a great way to keep fit, restart a childhood hobby or simply learn something new.

Performing in our Annual Dance Show
Performing, in all its aspects and in a professional theatre setting, is so enriching for our dancers of all ages.
Each year, we put on a Charity Performance, where every child gets to dance on stage and be involved in the production. It’s a fantastic and fun opportunity to celebrate all we have achieved throughout the year, and showcase the amazing talent we have at the school. The children love the whole experience and make memories for life.
